When I was at the GRC camp, I tried repeatedly to get into the dog program. At every turn, I was denied due to the presence of violence in my case. The first, at Grafton Reintegration Center, has been an enormous success. We are now transporting two van loads of incarcerated men from the Grafton Reintegration Center to Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries’ Chopping for Change Workforce Program where clients are trained in the culinary arts. The clothing room at Stark Regional Community Correction Center opened its doors on September 1, 2023. This is a 360 square foot department store for inmates during their stay.
