The number of women in prison is very small in proportion to the overall prison population, but this population is the fastest growing demographic in the prison system.

True Freedom Ministries is impacting the lives of the women at the Northeast Reintegration Center in Cleveland and helping to change the culture of the prison to one of acceptance and hope.  True Freedom’s Director of Women’s Ministry, Rae Borders, and our volunteers provide worship services, Bible studies and Christ-centered programming for the women.  True Freedom offers weekly Alpha Course, an introduction to Christianity and Discipleship.  In addition to the faith-based programming, we provide a pre-release workforce empowerment program through True Freedom Enterprises, equipping women with skills to help them successfully reenter society upon their release.

If you would like to know more, or how to get involved in our Women’s Prison Ministry, please contact us through our volunteer contact form.
