Revival is Here

What a powerful season! God is truly on the move in the women’s facilities we serve, with overflowing opportunities for healing and freedom. New classes are meeting deep needs, and lives are being transformed.

At both the Northeast Reintegration Center (NERC) and Stark Regional Community Correction Center (SRCCC) we launched an Abortion Recovery class for forgiveness and restoration. We’ve seen the Holy Spirit fill wounds that once felt incurable. These testimonies of peace reveal that God is still in the business of making all things new.

At SRCCC and NERC, the Lord is restoring families through our new Motherhood class, inviting women to rebuild relationships with Christ and their children. We also launched our fourth cohort of Workforce Development, empowering women with job-readiness skills for life after incarceration. At NERC, we introduced a new program focused on biblical boundaries, helping women learn ways that honor God and protect their hearts. One participant shared, “This program with Jesus has changed the way I view myself and how I want to use my story to help others.”

Our Character Development program continues to spark conversations that build empathy, humility, and accountability. Celebrate Recovery gatherings are with women ready to tackle their hurts, habits, and hang-ups in Christ-centered hope. We follow Scripture and share stories of victory, turning meetings into moments of communal healing. Physical strength is being renewed through Strong at Stark, where women train their bodies while receiving uplifting biblical encouragement.

The women of NERC enjoyed Chaplain Mark Stradiot’s presentation of the Walk Through the Bible seminar. This program provides a participatory overview of the Bible. 45 clients attended with 13 making first time professions of faith. 30 women committed to reading their Bibles and praying for 40 days. An inmate shared, “I loved this! You made it fun and exciting. You are very funny, and I would love to have you teach us more here at NERC.”

And then revival broke out! During SRCCC’s Yard Day, 22 out of 30 women, along with one of our volunteers, stepped into the waters of baptism! Heaven rejoiced as women declared their faith and to new life in Christ. We also witnessed healing at our Proverbs 22:6 Family Reunification Event, where over 25 children came together with their mothers. Women apologized to their children, and many relationships began a journey of restoration.

The joy and resilience we see building, week by week, remind us that Jesus came to bring life — abundant life — even in places the world has forgotten. Our mission remains steady: to offer every woman we meet the chance to walk in faith, to step into freedom, and to carry that light with them both inside and outside the prison gates. Revival is here, and we are just getting started.
