Governor Signs Bill at True Freedom

The Governor of Ohio, John Kasich, visited the offices of True Freedom Ministries.  The governor chose to perform the bill signing ceremony here because it is “the headquarters of True Freedom Ministries”.

The bill revises Ohio law so that unintended penalties for ex-offenders are minimized. Ex-offenders can achieve “Certificates of Qualifications for Employment” and obtain limited driving privileges for work purposes. In addition, ex-offenders meeting certain criteria can also obtain cosmetology, optical, construction and security guard credentials.   All this allows ex-offenders to be able to earn a living and more easily reintegrate into the community.
